The LivRed Foundation is a nonprofit organization with a striking theory: Kindness is the answer to solving our biggest challenges. We believe a kinder world is possible, and we’re here to make it happen.
In May of 2018, 20 year old, Olivia Red was giving a friend a ride home from work when her vehicle was struck head-on by truck traveling in the wrong direction. She was killed instantly. The driver of the trucks blood alcohol level exceeded three times the legal limit.
When Olivia walked into a room- the light came on. Her glow put the sun to shame. She was the first one to pick you up and she’d be the first one to make you smile when you were down. She was a champion of the underdog, she was good to people, funny, loyal and more than anything… she was kind.
We seek to move the human spirit and restore faith in humanity by raising awareness and encouraging others to perform random acts of kindness in Olivia's memory. That is who she was and what she lived for - to spread joy and make others smile.
As part of our initiative, we will recognize 2 high school seniors on an annual basis as part of the “Side by Side Humanitarian Award”. The recipient of this award is that special person that wakes up every morning and puts others before himself/herself, dedicating his or her life to helping others in need.
We will strive to make kindness effortless and have selfless acts be the norm. We’re a small, but powerful team making strides towards building a kinder world.
Applications will not be considered without two letters of recommendation.
